Quality Engineer

Pasco Tool & Plastics is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer to support our Tooling & Injection Molding operations.

• Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control plans, PPAP’s for plastic products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

  • CMM Programming: Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment to perform accurate measurements on plastic components, ensuring dimensional accuracy and tolerances

  • Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products using CMM and other measurement tools; document results and identify non-conformance issues.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions based on data analysis and measurement results.

  • Collaboration: Work with engineering, production, and design teams to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into the product development process.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of measurements, inspections, and testing results; prepare quality reports for management.

  • Training: Train and support production staff on quality control plans, and best practices for quality assurance.

• Education & Experience:

  • Required:

    • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within the plastics industry, with a focus on CMM programming.

    • Proficiency in programming CMMs (e.g., Zeiss, Mitutoyo, or similar).

    • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and measurement techniques.

    • Proficient in CAD software and measurement analysis software.

  • Plus:

    • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar.

    • Experience with Control plans an PPAP process.
